The first meeting of the C7 International Steering Committee under the French G7 Presidency brought together civil society platforms from G7 countries, as well as Nigeria, India and Brazil, to coordinate the C7’s work, outputs, and actions internationally.

First C7 French Steering Committee Meeting

2026 — Past Event

The first meeting of the C7 French Steering Committee coordinated national actions with French civil society organizations and public authorities to form thematic working groups.

C7 Canada–France Handover Event

December 4, 2025 — Past Event

At the end of Canada’s 2025 G7 Presidency, the Civil Society 7 secretariat, coordinated by Coopération Canada, was transferred to Coordination SUD under the 2026 French G7 Presidency. On this occasion, a handover event took place on December 4, 2025, to reflect on the 2025 C7 process, as well as the progress made and challenges encountered. During this session, various civil society members looked back on the advocacy efforts carried out and the policy priorities, while also looking ahead to future opportunities and strengthening the engagement of civil society actors under the French Presidency in 2026.
